It is called magnetic resonance yet physical process that occurs when the atoms of a material absorb Energy when subjected to certain frequencies of a magnetic field.

The notion is also used to name the technique of the medicine which, using this process, allows get internal images of the human body . From these images, doctors are able to detect various disorders and develop a diagnosis.

Magnetic resonance, in this sense, is considered as a non-invasive technique , since it does not require the introduction of tools or elements in the body nor does it have consequences for the patient. The information obtained through magnetic resonance imaging is converted into images in a computer (computer), allowing the professional to observe, in this way, the inside of the organism.

What does this technique is to appeal, generally, to hydrogen nuclei that are part of the water that is in the body. From the magnetization of these nuclei and their alignment by magnetic fields, a scanner allows to detect these signals and then convert them into images of the interior of the organism.

The MRI machine, therefore, does not use radiation as it does with studies of computed tomography . In the magnetic resonance, a tunnel-shaped magnet is used: the patient enters the tunnel where, by means of radio waves, the atoms are acted on by manipulating their magnetic position. This work is registered by a scanner and analyzed by a computer for the generation of images. It should be noted that the process does not cause any pain in the person .

In addition to all these data, it is also important to know other relevant aspects of the aforementioned MRIs such as these:
-Thanks to let you know more thoroughly than with ultrasound or radiographs certain parts of the body become a great tool when you can make deeper and more thorough diagnoses of the circulatory system, the brain or even the eyes, for example.
-In the same way, it is important to know that the images obtained with the aforementioned resonance can be converted, when required, into three-dimensional photographs.
-They are very useful in finding out what problems are affecting soft tissues such as cartilage, tendons or even ligaments.

To be able to perform a magnetic resonance on a person and that the images obtained can be absolutely those expected to make a diagnosis, it is important that the person does not carry any type of metallic object, because they can cause white spots on the film in question and generate fields strong magnetic, and do not move under any circumstances.

Being still is complicated when it comes to babies and children, so it can happen that professionals who perform the test can determine the need to sedate them and thus remain asleep during it. Of course, to do so previously they will consult their parents who do not have any type of allergy and ask them that the children do not take any food or drink during the hours before the resonance
